Welcome to my week 4 Zwift Tron Bike Update
About This Series
Dads Riding Bikes had our second daughter the last week of August 2023. In order to manage riding with a newborn, I am going to be doing a lot more Zwift riding, as I do not have a lot of availability for long outdoor rides. To have a goal to keep me motivated, I decided to try to unlock the Zwift Tron Bike. My current FTP of 224 watts (Last Tested in July of 2023 using the Zwift Ramp Test) and a weight of 175 pounds (79.4kg) comes out to 2.8 w/kg.
Past Weeks: Start | Week 1 | Week 2
We are back again with an update on our progress to unlock the Zwift Tron Bike. We did not have a week 3 update, as I was unable to get any Zwift riding in. Over the past two weeks, our daughter who is now 5 weeks old has been giving us a 4.5-5 hour sleep stretch at night. Mom and Dad are very thankful. This has allowed me to get in 7 rides over the past 2 weeks, with 3 of those being this week on Zwift. This week, I got my Zwift riding in with Zwift RoboPacers, which we will explore further.
Tip of the week: Zwift RoboPacers (Formerly Pace Partners)
Zwift RoboPacers
Zwift RoboPacers are virtual cycling companions that you can ride with on the Zwift platform. These digital partners maintain a steady and consistent pace during your indoor rides, creating a reliable and structured experience. RoboPacers are broken into different categories, and anyone can join. One of the great things about them is that you will not be riding alone, but will have a group of riders with you.
Whether you’re a parent trying to fit cycling into a busy schedule or anyone looking for a consistent workout, RoboPacers can help you stay motivated and on track. They offer a unique blend of social interaction and focused training, making it easier to enjoy your rides.
The following table shows the current RoboPacers available in Zwift.
Cycling RoboPacers | Pace | Color (Category) |
---|---|---|
Taylor | 1.1 W/kg | Yellow (D) |
Bernie | 1.5 W/kg | Yellow (D) |
Miguel | 1.8 W/kg | Yellow (D) |
Maria | 2.2 W/kg | Yellow (D) |
Coco | 2.6 W/kg | Blue (C) |
Yumi | 2.9 W/kg | Blue (C) |
Jaques | 3.2 W/kg | Green (B) |
Genie | 3.7 W/kg | Green (B) |
Constance | 4.2 W/kg | Red (A) |

Zwift Teleport Feature
One of the newer features added in Zwift is the ability to teleport from the Zwift Companion App to another RoboPacer without having to end your ride and then go back to the main menu to select a different pacer.
It’s as easy as clicking on the Zwift waypoints icon next to the coffee cup in the companion app and then picking which pacer you would like to ride with next.
This is a great feature if you want to warm up before jumping into a challenging pace group.
Current Progress on Tron Challenge
